Now that you have found enough information to complete your project, there is one final thing you need to do. You must be certain that your use of that information is ethical and legal. The three major issues to using information appropriately are:

  • Plagiarism:  Have you copied someone else's work?  Have you correctly attributed all quotations to their sources?
  • Citing sources:  Are all of your sources correctly acknowledged?
  • Copyright:  Have you obtained permission to use any copyrighted materials?  Do you have this permission in writing, especially if your project will be used in any other way than your personal, private activities?

All of this will take some planning and time - so you must think and act ahead of the date your project is due.
